We build communities for Israelis across North America and then support their efforts ensuring continuous strategic growth.
Our efforts have helped to create over 42 communities from coast to coast in the U.S. and Canada. Our network spans 10,000 families and has changed the direction of Israelis in the diaspora. As the leading organization in Israeli communities we are creating real lasting change.
We have partnered with some of the largest Jewish education and Jewish involvement organizations in the world and continue to be a resource to them on how to build for the Israeli communities. Our work has brought almost 1,000 Jewish students back to Jewish schools and necessitated the opening of 9 new schools and 26 synagogues for the Israelis we assist on their journey.

By 2010 there were over 140,000 Israelis living in the U.S. This number was on a constant rise with greater opportunities more and more families were immigrating to the U.S. In 2011 American leaders started to do outreach, creating programs to try and reach the Israeli populace, but it still needed Israeli leadership. Slowly more Israeli Rabbis started moving to the U.S. to build communities but each community was, for the most part on their own. Forced to fend for themselves and learn through trial and error without any support system like was present for American communities these programs would open and close regularly.
In 2021 three Israeli American Rabbis joined forces to open Mekusharim and establish the first three communities in Atlanta Georgia, Miami Florida, and Las Vegas Nevada. Each with their own unique set of skills they were able to work within established American Jewish communities and create enclave communities for Israelis.
In 2023 the war in Israel created a new surge of Israelis moving to the U.S. looking for a safe place to raise their families and where they could find new opportunities. Upon landing in the US these families were confronted with the highest spike in antisemitism in recent history according to a study by the ADL with a rise of over 360% and an average of 34 incidents per day. The need was great and families were suffering, looking for safe spaces to reconnect and have a Jewish experience. Mekusharim built a national network of communities and resources specifically designed for Israelis looking for a new home. Mekusharim interviewed and hand selected new leaders to join US communities, expand and build a national network filled with necessary resources for the new emigrated Israeli families.
Over the past three years Mekusharim has trained new leaders and opened over 42 communities across the U.S and Canada focused on the Israeli population. From these communities there have been tens of thousands of Israelis affected, thousands of families supported in their religious journeys and over 670 Jewish children have successfully been transferred from public schools to Jewish school giving these immigrant children a chance at a brighter future in their new home.

Mekusharim partners with established communities offering up to 50% support for two year self-sufficient to build a growth oriented infrastructure. Also offering continued sponsorship for student trips and outreach events.
